”The Selected Websites of Taiwan Academic Internet Resources” of the National Central Library, is the results of 2012 the Establishment of the Taiwan Studies project. It is under the “Digitization of Core Taiwan Studies Resources Program” of the “Taiwan e-Learning and Digital Archives Program” (TELDAP).

　The database contains Internet resources pertinent to Taiwan studies from every possible domain. It is an Internet resources guide for Taiwan academic researchers and general public for academic and research purposes. The content is mainly Chinese websites and with the addition of related websites from other languages. Useful Internet resources such as websites, databases, electronic journals, electronic books, articles, directories of researchers, and many other types of information are included. In addition, the Hot Topics section provides the websites related to the heated topics in Taiwan at any time.

　Each entry is created in metadata stanard. Most of these entries are created by professional librarians and write a summary for each. For the betterment of links management, an automatic mechanism for checking URL is set up for validating the links. A thematic search engine is built for setting search terms and conditions for collecting network resources as needed. Only a small part of the content is the search results from the search engine after screening by professional librarians.
